I like Guinness. I make funny faces while I drink it, but I enjoy the drink.

Saison Noir! With a name like that I was expecting dark ... but full on black was a shock. The first tentative sip ... smooth and sweet. Fruity almost. A full head to be sure (not that I have any idea what that's supposed to indicate)! I'm curious what it's going to be like warm (how I like my Guinness).

Definitely a new one to add to my list. Maybe one day I'll be a beer amateur! ;)

Working On My Domestic Skills! I may not be gardening as much as I need to but by god I will still be as self sufficient as I can be!

So on that note:  we have tomato basil linguine from the Amish (I'm not attempting pasta on my tiny counters), the last of my tomato sauce from last year's garden, and homemade from scratch garlic buns!

Went out of town with a girlfriend over the weekend. I drove a whole 2 hours to reach our destination way out in the holler! Those roads are crazy! All those twists, turns and hills! I'm fairly happy I ended up driving rather than riding. I very well could have wrecked the ninja ... which I almost did the SI. So very fun though.

Once we arrived we walked around. I introduced Katya to my ONW people and all the cool things. Seems I might be able to convince her to participate with me one of these years!

The point of going, however, was to pick up my corset and commissioned yarn. The corset was an art trade. By what she charges, she totally made out on this deal. However, I don't care! It surpassed my envisions! Since I dream of flying she quilted feathers onto the stomacher and the simple off  white linen was dressed up to match my scarlet skirts! So happy! In exchange I'm designing her logo. In the end it's her choice but I have one design I'm leaning towards.

The yarn is for my sister! Slub, thick and thin suri merino and wool. Soft natural colored yarn that i can't wait to knit up. More yarn than I was expecting so it's worth the $25 I paid easily! i may even have extra! The second skein will be a tanish color and hopefully I won't need to set that one. Not that I mind all that much!

As for my crafts ... still slowly picking away at that snuggie!

I need a break! From work & life! One of my friends has promised to be our DD so I can finally let loose. If I feel he's protective enough I may even loose myself to the dancing and drinking rather than hanging onto my control at mildly tipsy. I hope so! I just wanna let loose!

He even said we should just go out this weekend! ... but I've so many things to do! Ye gods! Life just gets in the way sometimes!
