Yay, another installment of frugal eating out!

This time it's thanks to a friend of mine. Who loves Cane's? (Jumps up, waiving arm) My man and I eat there a lot. We each get a 3 finger combo and he always gets my 3rd piece of chicken because I can never finish. Well my girlfriend said to get the box. 6 piece chicken with 2 sizes, fries and a large drink! When we ordered we asked that the sides be the same (texas toast) and asked for 2 small drinks instead of the large. He still got 4 pieces of chicken!

Our bill dropped from close to $20, to closer to $10! For the same amount of food. If my little ones ever decide to agree to Caine's this could easily be split by 3!

I was going to start this whole new blog for eating out with children on a budget ... but then I remembered how bad I am at blogging and just decided to add it to this blog. It is after all a me blog!

The idea sprang up when I was talking with Dan about how I save my sister money when I take her babies out. He thought people would like the knowledge. So here it is!

I'm gonna start this one off with Panera Bread. I used to work for them ... 2 years ... and in that time I learned a lot. One of those things being how to save money.

They have good food right! But who spends $5 on a Grilled cheese you can make at home? Well, a lot of people!  But boy can that add up! 3 kids @ $5 each is $15 plus you. So say you have 2 kids, they both want grilled cheese. Try getting a classic grilled cheese and asking for another plate. What would have been $10+ is now just $8. You could add another side for $.89, give them yours (my choice) or make them share (another thing we've done).

This can also be applied to adults. Just by ordering two items in full size (or bowls as they are called there) and splitting between two people you save $.

I've joined the revolution ...

Wow! Packing seems to have gotten harder ... or I've just acquired too much stuff! Preparing to move and working over 60 hours a week is causing me to neglect my crafting and small business ventures.

Hopefully soon I'll have good news!

I got the ground turned and ready for seed. Found some onion and garlic growing so I tried not to disturb them too much. And it looks as though someone attempted to pull down my trellis, ripping out the main branch from the bed walls ... inch long screw and all! So that'll need repair.
