My pancakes were lavender & amazing!
Yesterday we made delicious pancakes with kiwi and hit up Lehmans!

So many nifty things in one place! We ended up getting some tools to make pickles. Fermentation style! Some gasket rubber to make new seals for some old jars. Sadly the antique one didn't like it and broke. Very sad.

Over the weekend was my littlest niece's birthday party. She's getting so big!!!!

The cake!
Love that cheesy grin!

The gift....do you even take gifts to a pool party?!
Today was lazy! I read, baked banana bread and am now at work.

Day lily  for a gorgeous day!

Over the weekend I had a lot going on. Starting with finishing my taxidermy commission, and ending with today's dr apt.

So this commission took me a while to make. Likely because I had to design it then knit it. Sand the plaque then paint and consecutive sandings since the wood was that dry. Came out kinda looking like a rhino.

Cleaning up afterwards was fun. I learned that Georgia is more cat than dog!!!

Then Sunday was my birthday! Yay I'm .... old! I woke up early and too the puppy out. I decided to plant my peach tree since it was supposed to storm all day. I thought I did a good job....my mate not so much. So he sent me to the hardware store for potting mix and mulch while he quadrupled the size of my hole!! It will have plenty of room to grow now before it has to contend with our clay-ish earth.

Finished with enough time to have lunch and book it to work. I stopped for my birthday latte! Starbucks now only gives you 3 days to redeem your free drink.

Birthday latte and Iron Shot Café Biscotti!

Peach Seedling
Monday I did some sewing and front porch sitting. I just had to bring my guard dog with me. She only got tangled in the plants once. Kept trying to get at the mail box where the bunnies have been tearing up the daisies. Gotta find something new to plant here that they won't like.

Front porch guarding!

Saturday night pizza!

Daddy playing with the puppy dog!
Then today has been fairly lazy. I had an early morning appointment for wee Aidan. The nurse almost gave me a shot thinking that my blood type was B-. I quickly corrected her! It's good that I know my blood type. Not sure what that shot would have done. Turned down the whooping cough shot.....cause I've been exposed to lots of wee bairns with whooping cough and I've still not gotten it. Even with how often I get sick I don't get the scary shit.

After the dr I did some returns then came home for lunch with the puppy. Cleaned the fish tank and watered the plants! Brought in the sleigh and did some sweeping. I'm waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before I go mow the lawn.

What's that yummy smell?!

Sun tea!!! I love this time of year!

Took the children strawberry picking. That didn't end all that well. The youngest decided to throw a fit & stop with only a basket half full. A decent haul I guess!

Then we mozzied to the pool to discover mom forgot Ryans' trunks. Packing them back up to get them made for very disgruntled children. I almost didn't bring them back after all the screaming & whinning.....

Back at the pool....guess what else was forgotten?! Lunch! Momma is a bit forgetful. Scares me that my baby brain might not go away. So anyways brats for lunch. $3.25 is a bit pricy but what can I expect.

I think we got all of 1hr of swimming before I find out that Evelyn has safty town today. That just went well. Before we left the house this morning she put her suite on under her dress....now she's freaking out about not having panties. What am I gonna do with this child!

It's time to work on Aidans' room. I only have 3 months to go counting this one!
Let the new adventures begin!

Don't you just love the yellow they painted the walls! [gag] We have kept the curtain since it's a nice blackout but the blinds are going...and actually the curtain might as well since Dans' mom wishes to make us some.

Progress. Now some hand stitching.

Update:

All done with 2. Not sure how many I should make for market. Also, wee Aidan has been kicking and moving about the whole day. So incredibly nauseous.
Toasted Marshmallow Mead!
I added a clarifying clay today. We'll see how that works and if it alters the flavor.

Hemmed the new table cloth for market. A big thanks to my mother in law for finding this adorable fabric for me!

Now to make some equally adorable tea wallets! I don't know about you but I hate digging around in my purse [aka messenger bag] for my tea only to discover it's not only at the very bottom but also squished from all my crap! These little beauties should solve that issue!

Thanks to Middle Earth Plants I have so many cool new plants. Including the calendula which I had planned to add to my garden! The plan to day is to figure out where to plant them all!

I had a busy day. Started with the market in the morning with Middle Earth Plants, then had lunch with Heidi [the owner]. Afterwards we headed to Findlay to witness my cousins' wedding.
