Progress

So Saturday the husband and I went to the Home and Garden show. So many great vendors and $$$ projects we knew we wanted done that we now have companies to help us do it. Took hours to walk them all [I was told to stop giving out our info. That we were gonna get bombarded enough now thanks!!!]

Also, the gardens! OMG! So many ideas! So pretty! & one of my favorite vendors Econopia [<-facebook link] They are in the business of collecting your food waste. Since my compost isn't up and running just yet this was exciting. But then even when it is this can help out so many people. I gave the chap my CEO's information and plan to email them as well about joining. He was right in that so much of our trash is food waste. It's heavy and stinky! So this is a better and greener way of 'reusing' it.

It does cost to have them come collect. Econopia is a link to their flyer. My suggestion:  get a few neighbors to pitch in [filling the bin up and covering the cost] and get cut back on all of your footprints.

So I got a commission from a friend for a gift. My friend and her sister are both big Outlander fans and she requested a green scarf. So I'm gonna do a bit of an Irish theme [even though Outlander is Scottish]

A couple of years ago we had to chop down an old maple that was about as old as our house [upwards of 200 years]. It was a sad day seeing that mighty tree fall. However, I took a large branch and sliced it into disks that I could then use in projects, adding that extra special tough.

I brought that up .... because I think buttons made from that tree would be a perfect finishing tough to this scarf. Now just to figure out the fancy stitches I'll be using to bring it all together.

The fabrics I'll be using. The green is a touch paler.

Wearing the scarf down. Can be pulled up to cover the nose and ears.

Sexy bolt! I think Clay found his bike!

Look at that face!

Back at the international motorcycle show! Had a blast watching stunt riders flipping their dirt bikes over concrete, looking at all the shinny new toys and the vintage classics.
