Greetings this fine morning!

Time for an update on my homesteading-ness ... well urban style I guess. The farm shall come later! I apologize up front, this is going to be an image heavy post.

So it started with me actually sleeping in! O.o Unheard of to those who know me. For some reason I've become an early bird (probably working at the coffee shop). Then once I woke up I got right to work.
I wonder what the neighbors would think if I hung these up outside?! Makeshift Clothes line!

I'm a Panther!
Did some tree climbing. The cities trees at the edge of my front yard were getting those branches that grow straight up and then die because they can't get sunshine ... I decided to go up and take care of them. The first tree was grateful .... the second not so much ... & boy did it have a lot of dead branches up there!

It bit me!
I had a nice conversation with my chipmunks! The buggers are into everything. I scared the one so bad that when he spun around to run from me he clunked his wee head on the neighbors fence... poor dear!
Volunteers!
This should never have been an issue....who is mean enough to shop us on our busiest day of the year?! I mean Saturday was the 1st day of Summer Reading Club (SRC) there were bairns EVERYWHERE! Running a muck!

I needed a stick drink after work! Half a glass of Russian Fire Water with a splash of cranberry juice!
Finally started working on removing the grass from our soon to be wood pile and garden!

East side...

West side
Our butcher block came in. Some light sanding and wiping down then we started painting. We're leaving the top wood and treating it in oil!

More to come ....
